Areas of Practice

Construction and Surety Law:

Mr. Basile represents sureties, developers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in both transactional and litigation matters across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. His practice includes contract drafting and negotiation, claim documentation, project administration, and dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or litigation. He also assists clients in pursuing or defending payment remedies, such as mechanic’s liens and bond claims.

Business Transactions and Litigation:

Mr. Basile focuses his practice on business transactions, with particular emphasis on the purchase and sale of
businesses and assets. He represents individuals, entrepreneurs, and business entities in all stages of business
development and operation—including formation and start-up, contract negotiation, corporate governance, and
dissolution. A significant portion of his work involves representing buyers and sellers in asset purchase, stock
purchase, and membership interest transactions, guiding clients through due diligence, deal structure, and closing. In
addition to transactional work, Mr. Basile represents clients throughout Indiana in litigation matters arising from
business operations, including contractual disputes, enforcement actions, and ownership conflicts.

Real Estate Transactions and Litigation:

Mr. Basile advises clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating
purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related financing documents. He also represents companies and individuals
in real estate litigation, including title disputes and boundary issues, ensuring clients’ property interests are properly
protected throughout every stage of ownership or transaction. 

Mediation

As a registered civil mediator with the State of Indiana, Mr. Basile has completed the forty (40) hour Indiana civil mediation training. He brings his extensive business, construction and real estate litigation experience to the mediation process, serving either as an advocate for clients or as a neutral mediator to help parties resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively outside of trial.
